  6. features a powerful query system for searches and retrievals of information in
  7. a database, as well as text. Search includes proximity, key word in context,
  8. root, suffix range, and soundex search capabilities. The system requires much
  9. less overhead than competitive systems as it does not permanently duplicate
  10. files from other sources. LTS-Plus has imaging capability; a document can be
  11. scanned and converted to text using OCR, then any word in the document can be
  12. used as an index to the image which can be viewed as well as the text

  14. LTP-PC Query provides LTS-UNIX search functionality for the PC. It provides the
  15. user with the ability to download files to the PC, then search the files using
  16. Microsoft Windows as a standalone or on a LAN network

  18. LTS-UNIX is primarily aimed at corporate legal departments and law firms with
  19. over 80 installs. However, it is a full text document-management system and is
  20. applicable in any industry that creates and searches a large number of
  21. documents. Law firms use LTS-UNIX as the primary tool for litigation support.
